It's December, so unsurprisingly we're going Christmas heavy this month. There's lots of festive notices and seasonal joy to spread, so read on to find out what's going on in your club.

Festive Brews in Basil's

Fancy something a little sweet and decadent after your workout?

We'll be serving a special Christmas hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallow syrup (or syrup of your choice), mini flake & marshmallows for just £4.50.

Festive Quiz in Basil’s

Bring your brains for the next Friday night quiz, December 19th, hosted by our very own Seb Hutchins with Happy hour 6pm-8pm.

Arrival 7:30pm for 8pm start, £3 cash on arrival. Cash prize and a bottle for 1st prize. Goodies for 2nd and 3rd as well.

Some gentle reminders for all our members

  • Fob scan usage in reception

    Please can all members who scan in at reception with a physical fob double check that they use the correct Colets fob.

    We've had a number of instances where members use non-Colets fobs (which will also make a beep sound if scanned) to check-in and then get strikes.

    We cannot reverse strikes if you do not check-in properly.

  • Calling reception to check-in

    All members are required to check-in via reception.

    The reception team are not allowed to check members in via phone calls, so please do not ask them to do so, even if you are running late for your class.

  • Strike and waitlist policy reminder

    Just to remind all members, new and not-so-new, that we operate a class strike and waitlist policy, which makes class availability better for all. If you are unfamiliar with the policies, you can check them here.

  • Gym Etiquette

    We'd like to remind members of our gym etiquette for the benefit of all our community.

    Please pay special attention to excessive mobile phone use when using machines and the returning of weights to their starting positions.

Your Voice, Heard

Continuing on from last month's Your Voice, Heard section, here is a short selection of common themes from the member survey, and what we have done, or are doing, to make improvements.

General Cleanliness

We are reviewing cleaning processes and conducting regular checks to improve this area. While we commit to trying harder with the cleaning, we also would like to ask members to be aware of walking through the club with muddy shoes, especially as the weather has now turned. We appreciate everyone's support with this.

Studio Class Availability

We are aware of member comments regarding studio spaces. The studio timetable is being carefully examined by Anais and Nikki and we hope to be able to introduce a revised timetable with additional Les Mills classes early in the new year.

Gym Refurbishment

The essential works to repair the gym roof and improve the HVAC system has now been completed with the gym now fully open and operational. While this work was unavoidable to maintain necessary health and safety standards, we would like to thank all our members for their patience and understanding during this period.

Supporting Momentum this Christmas

We're supporting one of our chosen charity partners this festive period, Momentum, by hosting a Giving Tree in reception.

Members are invited to donate gifts to Momentum, and leave them under our reception christmas tree, or donate online. If you would like to donate a gift, please see the full list under the tree in reception.

This year Momentum is politely requesting gifts for older children.

Christmas Lunch at St. Nicholas' Church

Colets is sponsoring a traditional Christmas Lunch at St. Nicholas' Church Hall on Tuesday 16th December, 12.30pm.
