Every Friday Night Is Club Night

Free For Members - Just Turn Up & Play From 6.30pm - 8pm

Colets started life as a squash club back in 1977 and, as with everything else we’ve done, it has continually grown to be bigger and better. We have six courts (including three glass-backs) which are all maintained and refurbished on a regular cycle to ensure that they are in keeping with the Club’s standing as arguably the best squash club in the country. A look at the Honours Boards in the Club’s main reception tells its own story; regular winners of the National Knockout Championships (13 times), European Championships Winners in 1998, and consistent winners of the National over-35 and more recently (presumably as the team grew older) over-45 National Championships. We could be described as the Manchester United of the squash scene in England (yes, our supporters also live in Surrey too!).

And our supporters are an important part of the club, following the team for home and away fixtures, the former making midweek nights at Colets lively with the games being watched from the adjoining Sports Bar and viewing gallery.

There are internal leagues that cater for all levels, from our team-standard players to those who primarily want to build up a thirst. There are regular club events such as squash morning (Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10.00am) and club nights (every Friday from 6.30pm until 8pm) where you might even be able to pitch yourself against one of our world-ranked players. Appropriately enough for a club with a strong social scene, most squash events continue in the bar long after the last ball has been hit.

Tennis & Table Tennis

We have an arrangement with Surbiton Rackets Club which allows our adult  members to use their tennis courts from 12.00 noon to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 5.00pm to close on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Table tennis is also available at Colets. We keep a full-size table outside our squash courts, ready to roll on to a court. All you need to do is book a squash court – we’ll even supply you with bats, balls and the net when you arrive at reception.
